Our Story

Once recognized in Paris for its wines, Domaine de la Meissonnière fell silent for decades before returning to life with the first Rosé La Meissonnière produced on the estate in years.

Reviving the Estate

We chose to restore this forgotten place for its rare character, historic vineyards, and the possibility of bringing winemaking back to the land once again.

Since 1832

The earliest mention of Domaine de la Meissonnière appears in the Napoleonic cadastre of 1832, describing vineyards and a small stone house hidden within the valley.

The estate reached its peak at the beginning of the twentieth century under the Hubert family, when the wines of Domaine de la Meissonnière were awarded gold medals in Paris and silver in Milan.

By the end of the century, the vineyards had been leased out, winemaking stopped completely, and the estate slowly fell into decline for more than thirty years.

A Return to Winemaking

Today, we are bringing life back to Domaine de la Meissonnière through the restoration of the vineyards, the stone house, and the return of estate-grown winemaking.

We never purchase outside grapes or wine. Every bottle of Rosé La Meissonnière is produced exclusively from grapes grown on our land, hidden between the Issole river and the hills of Var.

Traditional Provençal varieties including Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Rolle, Ugni Blanc, and Clairette grow across the estate.

Working Together

The revival of Domaine de la Meissonnière is a shared effort built together with local French winemakers, growers, and specialists who know the region and its traditions deeply.

From vineyard work to blending and harvest, we collaborate closely with people who have spent their lives working with the land of Provence and understanding the character of its wines.
