Rooted in Provence

Protected by the Issole river and the hills of Var, the vineyards remain apart from intensive agriculture and modern development. Clay-limestone soils, Mediterranean light, and cool forest air shape the character of the wines grown here.

Since 1832

The earliest mention of Domaine de la Meissonnière appears in the Napoleonic land registry, where vineyards and a small stone house were recorded on the estate in 1832.

At the beginning of the twentieth century, the wines of Domaine de la Meissonnière were awarded gold medals at the Concours Général Agricole in Paris and silver in Milan before the estate slowly fell into silence for decades.

Today, a new chapter of winemaking begins on the same land.
